need help with a wildlife rehab question
no not me, a wittle baby squoil

found a young rock squirrel crying and crawling across my corral last night. I have no idea where it came from and instead of feeding it to the barn cat I stupidly picked it up and it cuddled in my hand. Damn it.

So I fed it a little tiny bit of warm milk last night with a syringe and got some puppy esbilac and a bottle at the feed store this morning.

It has teeth, is furred eyes open (recently?) ears don't seem to be yet. Weighs about 40 grams on my not-very-accurate scale. What do I feed it next if it manages to live over the next couple of days?

seems to have lice to (thrills) - guess I can powder it with some DE?

2. Aw. Good luck. I have no idea how to care for the little ones.
Thanks for caring for the little critter.

3. I kept a baby squirrel for a couple of days before dropping it off at the vet.
I think I fed it baby formula (maybe mixed with some other things). Call a vet and ask. I fed it every 3 hours. I also had to use a warm rag to stimulate it to help it use the bathroom. Also, I made sure to keep it warm. Good luck!

4. here is a pic
it is hanging in there but doesn't seem to want much formula, and hasn't nibbled solid food either. One tiny dried poop so far. I'm a little worried. Have a call in to a local wildlife rehabilitator. maybe they can just take it!

5. Cute!! That one is bigger than the one I had. Maybe he is too old
now for formula. The wildlife people should just take him. I thought that is what they did. Did you call a vet and ask them?
