"For K."

Then Kathy—"Is that mine?"—ran out to the crying in the yard.

1. Kick. Doesn't anyone like my little poem here?

2. It's nice...but I'm not sure that many people think that's a poem.
Oh well...more poem for me.

3. It's...concise, sure.
C'mon, Loungers. Think creatively.

The poems for the rest of this month are really something else, so get ready.

4. It's the opposite of my writing...
I like super-long (10-15+ word) lines in the tradition of Ginsburg. I also dig the coy use of punctuation to suggest opposing thoughts simultaneously. I once ended a poem in the middle of a word. Wrote one using pretty-much only the word "blockage" repeatedly. (I think there were 7 other words.)

Different poem forms excite me.

That reminds me...we haven't had a "Post your poetry" thread in a while.

5. Ooh, bring it on. I have a couple of little blurbs I could throw up.
And if you like different poetic forms, stay tuned. I play with forms in...interesting ways the rest of this month.
