*News from Redstone*

I was inspired by KitchenWitch's thread to call him...

And here's the scoop: He says to tell you good people that he's "blotchy but alive."

He means to say that he has a nasty infection in his leg, and that it's so far not responding to the oral antibiotic he's on.

He may be hospitalized for a few days, for more intensive treatment, starting tomorrow.

And he would be home by the end of the week.

I asked him if it would be OK to put up a thread asking for vibes, and he said "Sure."

So.......let's get those good vibes going for Redstone, OK?

He's a very cool and special guy, and I don't want anything bad happening to him!

Red's one of the few people I'd actually like to meet-- he was very supportive of me during the first few months I was stumbling and bumbling around on DU. He sent me my first PM that finally allowed me to think "I've arrived".

He's also quite the character-- his posts reminds me of a genetic cross between Yosemite Sam and a college Prof (yeah-- I know, quite the disconnected combo, eh?).

And I admit to a bit of shaudenfreud as I read him run down someone's presumptions and theories into the floor with his full-blown head of common sense.
