I just got some great news.

First, the $$ for my new set of drums has been gathered. Sheesh that took too long.

I just called the owner of the set, our guitarist, who told me he's not quite ready to part with them, because he's organizing a jam/recording session and he wants me there for it. He also said we'll arrange payments to be easy and almost 'whenever you have a few bucks, send them' once the set is in my hands.

And feet. :D

For anyone who hasn't seen them, they're gonna look something very much like this, only with a double bass set up, which I'll have to learn. Mmmm learning.

I sold my Pearl Export 5 p. 5 years ago. One of my worst mistakes! First thing I'm going to do when i move into a house is buy another drum set.

I let my playing go for a long time, almost 15 years. The last 2 have been practice pad and a mock set, but my mechanics are back to where having a set won't be a waste of time or money.

she recently took up residence in my living room because my boyfriend has no room at his place to keep her. i have no idea how to play (he's supposed to be teaching me how, but we haven't gotten around to a lesson yet), but there is something so cathartic about just sitting down and banging away.
