I'm at the tail end of listening to Pink Floyd's "Under Construction" - pretty wild!

For those who don't know, "Under Construction" was the second demo of "The Wall" before they went in and actually did "The Wall".

Most of the songs are there, but it's interesting hearing these first shots at lyrics, harmonies, melodies, solos, and so forth, and comparing them to the final. This draft has no Comfortably Numb or Trial, and Run Like Hell is instrumental.

Fascinating to listen to this first draft.

Roger Waters' original demo has never been circulated, so until then, this is as close as we can get to hearing the first thoughts of The Wall.

"Official" Pink Floyd attitude toward this bootleg is to distribute freely, and never charge for it - I imagine some creative (or maybe you don't even need to be creative) google searching will lead you to a place that has it for download.

I mean, is there any album ever produced that isn't available for download somewhere on the Internets' tubes?

5. Sounds pretty interesting

I've heard similar demos of one or two songs on Dark Side, but I was unaware of this. It'd be cool as hell if I heard the Beach Boys and Toni Tennille on there. Somewhere, on one of my computers, is an old jam they did back in the late 60's, only about 2 minutes long, but really quite tasty. I should dig it out and post it sometime.
