Anyone fluent in French here? I'm not, and need some help!

Hi all,

I'm designing a fictional lobby poster for Disney. I wanted the text to say "JESSICA RABBIT - "KISSES FROM AMERICA" Live Paris debut at the Cabaret Blue. Two weeks only: September 14-28th" so I wrote JESSICA RABBIT BAISERS DE L'AMERIQUE Debut de Paris-Vivant au Cabaret Bleu . Deux semaines seulement Le 14 Septembre-28 eme" but Disney and Amblin say that the sentence structure isn't correct-however, they didn't offer the corrected version,I have to find that out for myself!

that was 30 years ago, and i have not stayed at a holiday inn express!

BTW, i've missed seeing your cat picture. The mainecoon is beautiful. We had one that passed away three years ago. An incredibly friendly cat and good with children.

hey - this is dick steele's sweetie. so for starters, i have a fairly strong recollection that "baisers" translates as "fucks" (n. pl.) colloquially (transitioned sometime between Moliere and the 1980's, can still mean kisses in certain contexts) - despite what we might think of Disney in the context of culture and capitalism, you might wish to substitute "bisous".

I agree the rest of the structure is flawed - it sort of says opening of the Living Paris - Debut à Paris au Cabaret Bleu might work. you could add "en concert" maybe instead of the live.

put seulement in front of deux semaines. i'm not sure that i've seen this construction in posters, but it could work.

Date structure is different -so le 14 à 28 septembre. would skip the "th" for dates, if you need it elsewhere, would just abbreviate as è, you can avoid accents all together if you capitalize everything, if not, don't capitalize the "le" before the date.

I'm not a native speaker, but this might be enough to get more of a constructive response back.
