ThinkBlue1966 was just diagnosed with strep throat, and now our son is running a fever and complaining of pain in the area of the glands in his neck. I checked his throat, and his tonsils are a little swollen, but no white patches *yet* and no serious redness or throat pain. But I'm guessing he'll have those symptoms by tomorrow evening at the latest. I'm still healthy, but strep is pretty contagious, so I'm just hoping for the best here. I really don't want to get strep--the last time I had it, it caused a flare-up of my usually-mild psoriasis that was so severe, it made me ashamed to be in public for a month. :(

There are also some other things going on that are upsetting and stressful that aren't really Lounge material, so please, please send us some good thoughts today and tomorrow. :grouphug:

For all of you. Get that kiddie to a doctor, and take care of yourself as well. Strep isn't contagious once the sufferer has been on antibiotics for twenty-four hours, but don't take chances.
