Can't really hold it against this one though, because that seemed to be her primary method of communication. I'm taking it much better than I thought I would. I felt the pain leading up to it, so I knew it was coming. At least I don't have to be on pins and needles worrying about it anymore.

3. I can dump you via PM if you want..
That way you can focus on me instead of the others. It should help you heal..

4. Make sure your next girlfriend doesn´t have e-mail
and spend some time, alone, together, holding hands and gazing at the stars. :-)

5. Good grief.
I can't believe someone would send a "Dear John" email. I am so sorry. You deserved better than that. May your heart heal fast and may the new pretty girls be plentiful. That is my wish for you.

11. Thanks. This wasn't as bad as the last one
 This one's primary method of communication had become e-mail, and we had been mailing back and forth about the relationship. She seemed to be allergic to the phone for some reason, despite calling me all the time and talking for hours when we first met.

7. You should send it back to her, corrected.
Highlighting all the spelling mistakes, etc, if any of course.

Or just highlight passages and insert your own views/opinions. Breaking up by email is the cowardly way to go, I say. :(

10. I just took a course a couple of days ago about email communication......
if some #$#@@#$ sent me a break-up email, damn straight would I scan the document, hunt for errors, and make the necessary corrections. :)

Plus, I would offer my own opinions as to why the other person is a cowardly schmuck, er, why the relationship didn't work out. ;)

12. We had been going back and forth with e-mails throughout the week
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 10:54 PM by Pushed To The Left
She absolutely refused to talk on the phone throughout most of our relationship. She wouldn't even listen to my messages, so e-mail was our primary form of communication between seeing eachother. I hadn't even heard her voice since Sunday night when we got back from spending the weekend together.

8. Ouch. A woman I work with texted a guy to tell him she wouldn't go out with him.
I guess the modern age of communication will take adjustment.

Sorry about your bad news.

16. It could be worse.
They could have broken up with you by sending a RickRoll.

I've been broken up with via IM, but I don't think I've ever been broken up with via email. Ironically, this was the same girl who told me she wanted to marry me when we were talking via IMs. :\

Although it wouldn't surprise me to find out she was secretly dating someone else on the side too. :P

21. My first real relationship ended with a dear john e-mail.
Yeah, that sucks out loud. That was close to nine years ago, so my ex was like an e-mail dumping pioneer. At least I was on the cutting edge, one of the first guys dumped via a new technology. Whoot!
