Just wanted to stop by and say a quick HODWY! and share my wonderful news....


I am getting ready to graduate from Nursing School (May 10th to be exact) and have been submitting applications for jobs. Today, I got a phone call from my top choice of hospitals to work for: Arkansas Children's in Little Rock.

I am soooooooo excited about the prospect of working for this organization that I just had to share the news!!!!!! The interview is set for Monday, March 3rd @ 10am.


So, who's going to Happy Dance with me?!?!?!?!?!

17. I honestly think that is part of the reason I decided to enter the field.

I have so many interests and so many things intrigue me....I don't think I could be happy in a job where I was never challenged or encouraged to grow.

Nursing is so varied....you can realize strengths that you didn't know you had b/c of challenges you meet on a daily basis. I can't WAIT to get started.

I got another phone call today from the same hospital, different dept. I now have another interview scheduled for March 5th. I am still really excited and can't wait to get the ball rolling for one of these positions. I'd take either one!!!!!!

I've always said that working at this hospital was my dream job, something that might happen further down the road. Like after I finished my Master's degree.....I never thought I would be talking about it or possibly working there right out of nursing school!!!!! I am just speechless about that. But so excited at the same time!!!! LOL.

I have worked very hard....It's almost done. Thankfully. I am so ready to get my "real" education in nursing.

The best quote I have heard about Nursing school and actual Nursing:

"Nursing school has only taught you how to NOT kill someone. You'll learn the rest on the floor." - Unknown

I figure that's pretty fitting....I hear often that when you graduate nursing school you really know nothing. The actual experience of nursing teaches you everything that you'll use.
