We had lots of lizards and horny toads in Texas, but nothing like this guy either. They are South African lizards, but you would think it would have an American "cool" cousin. :rofl:

27. Aussies have an similar fella called a bearded dragon, and they are

teh bomb as pets! My nephew has one, and he's awesome. What's cool about them is that they are very aware of your presence and appear relatively sentient: Full grown:

but when they're 'teenagers', they go through a phase where they get grumpy and snippy. Actually, kind of like human teenagers. :P

39. I never had mine when she was so tiny. :)

Got her when she was about 5 inches long. Took her a little while to get used to me, but once she did she loved climbing on me and exploring. She liked to either cuddle on my palm and absorb the body heat, or climb around to between my shoulderblades. Which was a problem, because I was always afraid of accidentally squishing her or knocking her off. :P So every now and then we'd have a little contest. She'd try to crawl up over my shoulder, and I'd try to scoop her up and set her back down on my chest or arm. :) Being bigger, I won most of the time.
