What would your dream job be?
If you could be in a job that provided you with all the things you needed for yourself and your family and at the same time totally fulfill a dream, what would it be?

Mine would be going back to being a filmmaker. It was the best job in the world. We had a saying on the set, "the worst day on the set is still better than the best day in the real world". :)

So what's your dream job?

1. Field Bigfoot Researcher.
Run around the woods, use night vision equipment, taking casts of enigmatic casts, etc. Sure beats jockeying a desk and imagine if you actually could scientifically document their existence, what a rush that would be.

Barring that, I wouldn't mind getting into a non-academic non-profit archaeology education thing, like Crow Canyon or SRI or something.

Someone sent the picture to me, but it obviously came from the linked site. If you like that place, you definitely should look at the other pictures there.

I posted a pic of the library of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. I could just as easily name a dozen other collections (some of them, like the Bodelian, in the link above.) The Getty Museum has an amazing collection, and lots of examples online. But since it's my dream, it's in The Netherlands.

Q: How do you know when a fighter pilot enters the room?

A: He tells you the second he meets you.

FWIW, I'm a helicopter Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) pilot, and we have a healthy disdain (but respect) for them.

Oh, one more for you before I go.

Q: What does a fighter pilot look like to a CSAR pilot?

A: Cold, wet, scared, and surrounded.

:toast:  :patriot:

92. I dunno. I used to want to be a Disney Animator
then I became one. It was great for a while, then I smacked my head hard on the glass ceiling, my assistants became hellbent on grabbing my position from me, and it all went downhill from there.

Then I wanted to illustrate children's books. I did a few for Scholastic, but the Art Director changed her mind so often that in the end I felt like I was paying for the privilege of working for them.

I always kind of wanted to be a journalist too. Two of my neighbors are news journalists (one for NPR, the other for a British news service). They are both pretty liberal, but they have to spend ENDLESS hours with the most vile repugs every week. The Brit is assigned to John McCain for the duration of the campaign. :puke: Not sure that I could handle that.

So now...

94. I am doing it now.
No, I can't and won't say what it is... it is better that way. (NO, I ain't no repuke spy either...if I was I would have to report back to my bosses that DUers have an uncanny love for their cats and an odd hatred for Olive Garden).

To clarify: interrogating Bush and Cheney, not their illegal prisoners.
