1. There are so many good ones...Robin Williams is terrific, as was Sam Kinison; Carlin I could
take or leave, but damn like I said, there a TON of good ones out there.

4. Out of those listed...
Ellen Degeneres is the one who makes me laugh out loud the most. But I think that just means that her sense of humor matches the closest to mine. I don't know if that means that she's the best comedian though.

but Pryor made me wet my pants

It was the skit about Chocolate, getting the crabs, and trying to get rid of them with alcohol, I think a cigarette, toilet, and an earthquake may have been involved too (but I might be mixing routines). I swear-it sounds like what you might hear on a good night in the ER.

40. Robin Williams is basically Johnathan Winters mixed with some of the old
Borscht Belt comics (Schecky Green, Buddy Hackett, Don Rickles). He's much better, more original, as an actor, though - especially when he branches out of comedy.

36. Saw Carlin recently...
He was good, but it was all cranky old man.

Of course, he's the King of Cranky Old Men.

He was working on new material so it wasn't a tight show. He's been ragging on religion (particularly his native Catholicism) for years, but he did some stuff with a new angle on "our national mythology," which could really be important material if he gets it honed.

Picking just one is hard! I mean, Lewis Black, Chris Rock, and George Lopez, all crack me up, too. Ron White's persona is solid gold, too. And Dave Attell and Christopher Titus each have an album that are pretty damn good.

Hmmm... I loved Cosby when I was a kid. "200 MPH" is AWESOME!!!!
