she was a very sheltered, repressed girl and I think she just wanted to lose her virginity while she was away from home. Preferably to someone her parents would never have let her date. :P

So yeah... it was just kinda awkward. And then when the semester ended she ended up moving back home to go to school there.

A couple of years ago, after years of longing for a red leather, art-deco style chair for my studio, I had a couple of very successful exhibits, back-to-back, and decided splurge and indulge my dream. Drove to the store, cash in hand, found the chair, had 'em pack it up and insert it into the back of the Volvo. Got home, got Call Me Wesley to help me unload this gorgeous chair. Removed the jillion layers of packing material, maneuvered the chair into the perfect position in my studio, where I imagined gentle north light streaming over my left shoulder as I perused the pages of Architectural Digest on a lazy Saturday morning still to come. Threw my favorite cowhide over the back of the chair and went looking for my favorite tea cup.

By the time I returned to my new chair, it had been elevated to the status of THRONE.
