It's not that scary in the light, but try to imagine waking up at 3am with barely any light on and you see this thing staring straight at you from the shadows..... :D

Anybody got one to share?

edit: to really freak someone out i turn the cross upside down in his hands

4. We do have a kind of creepy antique.
It's a very old, stone sculpture of the crucifixion; CMW's mother bought it in Spain about a jillion years ago and passed it along to us shortly after we were married. I'll try to get a photo of it today. :scared:

5. I can't follow any religion that uses a method of torture as its symbol.
Especially with a dying/dead man on it. And, no, substitutionary atonement is not good enough of an explanation. Nope.

Maybe I'm just too sensitive.

And CMW, three. The only reasons we keep this creepy sculpture in our home are 1) it's sort of a novelty, since we're quasi-Buddhists but don't consider ourselves religions at all in the tranditional sense; and, 2) it was a gift from CMW's mother. :spray:

Edited for subject/verb agreement (because I know Oedi's out there, somewhere). :P

8. I'll go shoot it now.
But I'll have to wait for CMW to download it from the D50, cuz I'm afraid to take the card out of the camera. It looks so fragile. :scared:
