I turned on the faucet to do dishes and nothing came out but cold water. My apartment does not have a hot water heater in it. I am guessing there is one for the whole building (and some assholes used up all the hot water) or, more likely, there is one of those on-demand things and it decided to quit. I am having a bad day and now this shit.

Fortunately I am not too sweaty because I went to the gym and decided I didn't really feel like working out. Yeah, I drove all the way there then decided I didn't really want to. I suck like that sometimes.

So I came home and had a beer instead. Not doing myself any favors here. But I am crabby and stressed and now I am really pissed off.

1. Heat some water in the microwave or a pan on the stove and wash your face
That will help you feel better.
One morning when I was in the nursing school 'dorm' thirty years ago, a few of the students who woke up earliest and took the first showers were shocked, or I should say scalded, to find no COLD water! They jumped under the spray and "YOW!" jumped back out. There was a problem with the boiler. I was lucky that I discovered it when my bottom sensed heat rising from the toilet bowl!

2. The showers in my dorm always had scalding water
I am not sure why but it was always fun to try and not get scalded.

My neighbors apparently have hot water though- I heard their shower going. I can probably wait until morning. It's not like there's anyone here that will notice.

3. They are not going to fix it until tomorrow
I am so pissed. This has been a completely shitty couple of days and now this.

Apparently a problem with the boiler. Too much demand and it can't keep up. I guess it might be better in the morning but all these damn people taking showers in the morning might kill my chances at any hot water before I leave.

My asshole upstairs neighbors take 3-4 showers a day between them. I heard theirs going so they must not have minded the cold or they used the last of the hot. Must be republicans.

4. That happens in my building too.
But I've had the rare treat recently to actually have hot water for showers this week. Doing dishes is a crap shoot. Sometimes it's hot, but much of the time it ain't even close.

5. At least it will get me to the gym
I may not actually exercise but at least I will go (to take a shower).
