Watching something pretty and sad
and there is a climax, a death and an understanding or a catharsis and a transition to the next level, and then there is a flashback to earlier days, when the character in question is hopeful. She is full of expectations.

It's a stupid show and overly dramatic but I'm suddenly imagining myself as a young person and wondering if my simplicity was ever so heart-rending and heavy with implicit destiny as was the character's tonight. Probably not; I am no heroine in a fiction. Still we come up with these fictions with the desire to make our lives meaningful, really meaningful. And no, I'm not stoned or drunk, just doing the New Year's shuffle. I hope you're all well and optimistic this... morning.

5. Well, maybe I thought of it because I like reading your posts
I just looked at your journal, and loved your story about your mom's pumpkin bread refrigerator art.
I vaguely recall mooshing up some mistake as she did, but can't, or don't want to, remember the specifics!
I've been swearing a lot lately. If I had a curse jar I'd be a rich woman.
You have to be a little mad to be sane in this world, eh?
