actually I had a new voter reg card here with in 15 minutes of getting my driver's license. and no, I wouldn't fill the form out at the MVD, I walked to the Clerk's office personally to make sure it was done right

if you don't move and you vote regularly you don't ever have to worry about registration. Is it the same way everywhere?

11. Here, if you don't vote in the last election, then they

send a "census" form (may be a different form in other places) to your house
for you to return to the town clerk, to verify that you still live in the town.

But I didn't send it back once and was still able to vote in the next election though.

I usually check with my voter registrar anyway, to be sure my name is still there.

That's how some places kick people off the voter roles. People should verify that
they're still on the roles, especially for this election (primary) and for November!

18. Hey... in reply #11, I spoke about a census form to verify my voter reg. and

guess what? I got it in the mail today!! :crazy:

It says --

Please sign and respond within ten (10) days
Failure to respond to this mailing shall result in removal from the active voter list
and may result in removal from the voter registration roles.

But the envelope is not dated nor is the form and I also got mail post dated Dec. 17th! (I hate my temp mailman!) :grr:

Looks like I'll have to go to the registrar in person and verify!!
