Lelapin is stranded at an airport

*if* she gets a seat on a flight out tonight, she's flying into an area under winter storm warning and apparently her father can't get to her to pick her up because the roads are too treacherous. Her cell phone charger is in her luggage that's gone who knows where and her cell is about dead. She was supposed to be in St Louis by 3pm. Now the weather has deteriorated and she may be spending the night in a major airport.

Please send her good vibes and prayers that she has a safe journey tonight.

15. She's stuck

in a strange city, too young to rent a car, no way to pay a cab to take her to a hotel or the money to pay for the hotel.

Her father should have had his ass in St Louis since he's known this storm was coming all day. Now he's stuck 3 1/2 hours away with the weather getting worse by the hour. Typical. I just hope she's safe wherever she ends up and nobody bothers her.

It's hell being poor and even worse managing a long-distance parenting arrangement. At least before her father re-married, he was willing to drive to at least 1/2 way to get her so she didn't have to fly. She's absolutely terrified to fly.
