The Benny Hill Show: sexist?
Edited on Fri Dec-14-07 05:04 PM by brentspeak
I don't think I ever watched a full episode; I would catch glimpses of the show when I was a kid -- and made sure to change the channel as soon as one of my parents walked into the room! The thing I remember most -- besides the half-naked women -- was thinking to myself, "I can't believe this is allowed on T.V.!" Apparently, the show was even more outrageous when aired in Britain.

1. I always thought it wasa satire of sexist attitudes. But maybe it is just sexist.

2. "Sexy? What's wrong with being sexy?"
As you may tell, I'm a fan, though I fully recognize the TV show was reflective of the times, especially sensibilities towards racy humor.
