Last night's "Family Guy": I can't believe Fox let some of that on the air. (SPOILERS)
All within 30 seconds or so toward the end. Gun battle between Lois and Stewie in the Oval Office. Lois is shooting at a running Stewie, and shoots a number of pictures of presidents on the wall (at least Clinton and GWB) in the process. Stewie goes out of frame, and after a brief pause, Lois brings the gun back around to the picture of Dubya and shoots at it until there's nothing left, then continues going after Stewie.

A few seconds later, an American flag is lit on fire during the fight, and it was very clear that they were trying to send a message, rather than just having it be one of a number of things that caught fire.

Seriously, Seth McFarlane must have been beside himself when they let those two things go out on the air.

2. You notice how many times
the GWB portrait was shot? The bullets went past, came back and just obliterated it. Even my jaw dropped at that.

Peter (when he became Lois, briefly) feeling himself up was priceless.

3. And then fox cable commentators whine about the state of decay in American media.
Uh-oh.

Even I have my limits and will admit that some of my double entendres go too far, but at least they're suggestive and therefore subjective to the mind of the one who reads my comments. Family Guy often aims for the direct, explicit approach.

Never mind insinuating violence against another person, never mind a public official. Somebody's gonna be shot for that one. (I know, I couldn't resist, but Seth or whomever wrote it and got it accepted did go rather too far.)

Besides, didn't Stewie kill Lois last week? That show went too far in its depiction of violence. Mind you, I didn't watch the episode so I might be taking things out of context. Still, what you mentioned sounds extremely disturbing.

7. It was fantastic!! Seth is a total Shrubby/Republican/Rightwing nutbags hater.
I was laughing my ass off through the whole thing. Not just the picture getting blown to hell, but the total overdone violence, and Stewie's blood-covered body just laying there at the end.

Brilliant political commentary, that.

nice shot at the 'missing white woman' syndrome the media suffers from.....and Ollie Williams!

Tom: Good evening, I'm Tom Tucker with Channel 5 news. We now go live to Ollie Williams recapping the events of the last episode of Family Guy. What happened last time, Ollie?

Ollie: Stewie killed Lois!

Tom: Then what?

Ollie: Peter got blamed!

Tom: Then what?

Ollie: Peter went to court!

Tom: Then what?

Ollie: Lois came back!

Tom: How?

Ollie: Wasn't really dead!

Tom: Thanks, Ollie. And now Part 2!
