1. The complete output of Greatful Dead?
Edited on Fri Nov-02-07 12:01 PM by Peake
I'm not a fan so to speak, it's just the first thing that comes to mind.

Classic: What does a Greatful Dead fan say when he runs out of drugs?

"This band SUCKS!"

I have no opinion either way. The joke may be applied across many boundaries.

Edit: Oops, snared by a copycat!

20. Dopesmoker by Sleep.
A more proper length and mix of "Jerusalem", this newly released juggernaut realizes the band's vision of their much-publicized and infamous uber-dirge, complete with more emphasis on the rhythym section's power when necessary and 13 minutes of added music. No longer broken into six separate tracks that run into each other, "Dopesmoker" is one 65-minute track and a bonus live recording of "Sonic Titan", where one can hear a smidgen of what sounds like a High on Fire riff here and there.

This version blows out speakers of all kinds, as Al's bass is far heavier and prominent, but only when it's necessary. Pike's guitar is slightly edgier and compliments the newly restored bass sound nicely, leads screaming and clearer. Chris's drumming turns out to be an underrated part of "Dopesmoker", as you hear new and unearthed parts of his thundering backbeat that were otherwise overshadowed on "Jerusalem"

Best heard on a customized mix (preferrably with the bass turned slightly down for balance), "Dopesmoker" can take it's place as a fully established classic among the doom/stoner/drone genre, a far overdue release that will satisfy fanatics of crushingly heavy riffing and long improv. You'll feel it in your chest.

22. "Ganja" by Bitch and Animal
(To the tune of "Angels we have heard on High")

Angels we have heard are high
Smoking joints up in the sky
Delusions are floating by
Paranoias running wild

Ganja
In excess aint dangerous

Angels we have heard are high
Smoking doobies in the sky
Smoked me out on sunday night
Now church really does feel right

Ganja
In excess aint dangerous

Angels smoked me out last night
After getting jesus high
He says ganja makes you strong
I say great! pass me the bong

Ganja
In excess aint dangerous

The church social was real fun
Munching down sin-a-mon buns
Boy those catholics are uptight
Glad i took this flight tonight

Ganja
In excess aint dangerous

Mother mary was naive
Baked a cake with josephs weed
She passed out then he came in
Immaculate conception

Ganja
In excess aint dangerous

24. "Brain Damage"
http://www.pink-floyd-lyrics.com/html/brain-damage-dark-lyrics.html

Brain Damage
(Waters) 3:50

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

"I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa!"
