1. You shouldn't mess with hippos.
They're vicious, vicious animals.

2. Caption is something about dog and hippo playing
I've never heard of hippos playing. I am afraid dog is about to become lunch or dinner.

4. I was watching a wildlife documentary once
There were a load of large crocodiles basking by the side of a large river, being bugged by this baby hippo wandering among them. Not a single one of the crocs dared touch it, because of its mom and dad in the river a few yards away. This showed me a lot about what mean motherfuckers hippos must be.

7. They eat first, ask questions later.
I actually saw live hippos in the wild when I was in Central Africa for a summer. You walk up to a certain distance, then you stop when they start making noise to indicate that they are aware of you. They don't move real fast, and you don't get real close. You watch with binoculars. They look friendly and playful in the river. But you don't get any closer. Its about a "block" or a km away.

At night they come on land and walk around. I kept hearing this noise that sounded like a really loud stomach growling. The hippos came within a block of the house I was staying it, and I could hear their stomachs - they don't bother people, but you don't go out for a walk at night for a lot of reasons. I heard elephant stomachs too. They don't attack people, but you don't mess with them or throw your dog in the river.
