Who remembers "alternative" papers from the 60s and 70s?
I recall the L.A. Free press in Hollywood

The Oracle was from the Bay Area I think

The Georgia Straight in Vancouver, BC

it was from NY and chock full of
all the news and concert info...
the best head shops... well you know

It used to be a free paper
then it got full of itself and started charging.....

5. Boston had the Phoenix and the Real Paper.
Though sadly the RP is long gone from the scene; the Phoenix is still here.

I bought the early issues during 1967 and then my husband (Mr. Tikki) got
drafted....we didn't return to Seattle after that.
