BabyMidlo was born without benefit of anesthesia.
Not because I didn't *want* it mind you, it just didn't take.

Anyway. That was NOTHING compared to the toothache that I am experiencing due to my cracked molar.

Series. Who knew.

1. Dental pain is in a class by itself.
No lie. Nastay. And you don't even get a baby when it's over.

2. This is a first and hopefully the last.
The pain is nausea inducing it's so bad. Naproxen 3000mg a day. Hope it won't give me a heart attack.

6. happened to me last christmas
when EVERY SINGLE DENTIST in town was on vacation from christmas to new years. the temptation to pull the fucker out of my head with a pair of needlenose pliers was intense.

i feel for you. get to the dentist ASAP. don't let it get all infected, that can turn into very bad news very quickly.

8. Fortunately, my dentist is a friend and will see me first thing in the morning.
But, wow. I had no idea tooth pain could be this severe. It hurts all the way up to my forehead and down my neck.

I'm taking maximum strength (and then some) naproxen, which he said is fine until I get there.

10. Just pray you never get an absessed/infected tooth.
First, I prayed for death. Then I thanked my new god, Vicodin.

I hope your molar's all better soon.

14. Aleve Arthritis. Take only as directed, but if you can do that, it may help.

That's the only pain reliever I've tried that's been effective for my menstrual cramps (seriously; I've tired everything else). If it can help me with cramps, it can do pretty much anything.

15. as a man
I can never know the pain of childbirth, so I have no frame of reference there , but, the two worst things I ever went through in my life were kidney stones and an impacted wisdom tooth. I don't ever want to have to go through either one of those again :scared:

Hope you get to feeling better soon

18. kidney stone trumps unmedicated childbirth. I have done both
would have twins w/o drugs before I would have another kidney stone, given the choice

16. You just broke Woman Law #12!
"Never admit in front of men that there is any pain worse than childbirth. Use the 'lower lip pulled over your head' comparison and scoff at any man who talks about experiencing pain."

You might have to turn in your uterus if this gets out.

17. If you can get your hands on some
clove oil, or some cinnamon oil, rub it around the area. It helps.

I mean, the dentist is still a necessity but in the meantime...

Good luck.
