There are boring,boorish, tedious people here, just like anywhere else. "Ignore" is a lifesaver. Would that we could expunge the real world bores and boors so easily.

When i'm attracting that with my written work, i'm not reaching deep enough to truth. I'm not honest enough. I see DU like a living shakespeare play, and i am a playwright, more than a character.

If a character gets boring, i change the scene.

I understand, NJCher, indeed... just thus far these years have i not yet met someone sooo persistant and sooo boorish that i would erase them for their one bright part.

Its like killing gollum for lack of pity.

There is no person on this earth i cannot stand toe to toe with in a free speech discussion. In life, i might be attacked, spat upon or beaten up, but without physical intimidation, the only weapon they have is my own foibles... and for this, i find a worthy opponent a graceful blessing... as they show me my fears, my egotism and my own blind and insensitive parts.

I respect voltaire too much not to take his advise.
