1. About 10 years ago, my SIL was driving home from work on

Halloween and had a run-in with a poor deer. Thankfully, she was okay, and the poor creature died immediately - no suffering. The officer who responded to the call asked her if she wanted the meat - she hadn't really thought about it, but said "sure". She is a vet, and is quite skilled with sharp instruments. The thing is, she butchered the deer on her front lawn, on HALLOWEEN! Those poor neighborhood kids must still be traumatized.

We were driving from the coast to Tahoe, then to Yosemite. It seems like there were a lot of pawn shops and gun stores.
