Men accused of stealing park fee envelopes using rodent glue
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A Multnomah County sheriff's deputy seized $120 in cash that was smeared with rodent glue.

The glue was allegedly used by two men to steal fee envelopes from state park and trailhead fee boxes in the Columbia River Gorge.

Lt. Jason Gates said 34-year-old Timothy Wiley of Estacada and 38-year-old Daniel Brandberg of Portland were arrested Sunday. Charges include theft and possession of methamphetamine.

Gates said the men were using a method called "fishing." That's when the rodent trap glue is placed on a metal strap and lowered into the box in an effort to pull out the fee envelopes.
