1. I pick
Fargo first.
Then Welcome to the Dollhouse. I was just like Wienerdog, only ten years earlier :headbang:

4. Boyz in the Hood
woke a lot of folks up to some of the realities of impoverished urban communities in the early nineties (during the height of the crack epidemic.) Or perhaps doing youth work in Detroit in that time frame - when the movie resonated so strongly (per its reflection of the lives of many young people that I worked with in that time frame.)

5. Silence of the Lambs followed by Welcome to the Dollhouse
Welcome to the Dollhouse is a great black comedy and it's sort of like watching myself at age 12.

20. both of them rock!
I really liked both. If I could only watch one ever again, it'd be Contact. If I had to watch one every week, it'd be Ed Wood! Not sure what that means other than I'm silly, but that's how I feel about these two great flicks. Thanks for bringing them up.

16. I picked Fargo
cuz it's a personal favorite, but there's a strong case to be made for Silence of the Lambs. 50 years from now, that will still be a famous movie.

34. Without Boogie Nights...
...this poll is about as valid as the following:

Who is your choice for President in 2008?

a) Rudy Giuliani
b) John McCain
c) Mitt Romney
d) Fred Thompson

In each case, the list of alternatives isn't quite complete...
