5. Probably ADD
I have it, as do multiple members of my family - oh look, a squirrel!

Another possibility is that the subject is boring: we ADD folk have the ability to hyper-concentrate when something grabs our interest - oh look, there's another one!

7. Maybe ADD, "we ADD folk have the ability to hyper-concentrate when something grabs our interest "

I can do that.

I know it isn't ADHD because I sure don't have the H. Never have.

9. I'm sensing
a theme running through several of your threads. Are you trying to tell us something? :)

Difficulty concentrating on one subject? Subject may just be down right boring. Or that who cares attitude just kicks in. Most likely nothing to be concerned about.

18. Perhaps they are "zoomed out". Give them work as a synthesist.
Some people are good at seeing the big picture. Trends, agendas, parallel developments that would benefit if brought together, etc. They may be good at planning large things, such as political rallys or music/film production. Or directing.

They are so practiced in multitasking that they lose their ability to do one thing at a time. I think that this is my superviser's problem.

23. Nothing.
That person has the ability to make connections between things that other people do not even fathom. The key, then, is to educate this person in order to show him or her that this trait is actually an asset, as long as he or she can harness it.

The worst thing you can do in a situation like this is to give the person drugs in order to make him or her think like "other" people.
