1. At my mum's house there is a bookcase next to the throne
I don't know if somebody planned that, but it was GENIUS.

3. heh
my last house had a built-in magazine holder under the TP roll. My sister kept after me to take it out and patch up the wall but I rather enjoyed having reading material available. I referred to that bathroom as the library ;-)

2. Like many people, we have a magazine rack next to the throne.
We have magazines and a few books, including cookbooks, there.

5. I like to think that people who visit libraries
keep their bathroom clean. Maybe that's crazy but it keeps me from dwelling on things like this. :P

8. Why did that "Seinfeld" episode just pop in my head?
The one where George takes the book into the Bretano's bookstore bathroom...and he has to buy it and can't get rid of it. :-)

That's an...interesting statstic.

9. I know, I thought of that Seinfeld also
and while kitchens certainly contain a lot of bacteria there's just more of a squick factor with the thought of fecal content.
