I remember this as a kid. Cheezy and even I knew the know-it-all kid was too phony compared to the dingaling main protagonist... still...

Rather like a precursor to "Quantum Leap"; the dudes travel in time and push history along or correct it and move on for the next assignment afterward.

4. Oh wow! I loved that show. And Jon Eric Hexum may not have been the greatest
actor in the world, but boy was he eye candy.

I still can't get over the sensless way he died and how young he was when he died--24.
