that he had a nightmare that he had become Robert Novak. This is funny I guess if you are an inside the beltwayer.

I once saw Novak in person get his ass kicked in debate. I was in college this was about 1978 (yes he's been around that long) and my political science professor, Richard Kriner was a liberal and kept hammering him with questions about labor, etc.

It was the most enjoyable time you could have at Mary Washington College's auditorium.

Novak (AKA "NoFacts") is, in my mind, a traitor. For purely political purposes, this idiot leaked the name of a confidential CIA operative, knowing full well it could have resulted in her death. I think Mr. Novak is one of the most open and honest true journalists in the business today. I NEVER see his personal views (if he even HAS any) enter into his insightful and totally accurate reporting. I don't believe the man even HAS an ego. He is devoted wholeheartedly to delivering the straight facts, as best he is able to determine them, to his readers and viewers. He's a very snappy dresser, too. I might also add that he has one of the most attractive combovers on television today.

Now, as you may have heard, in the recent Borough of Brooklyn lottery, I won the Brooklyn Bridge. Since I acquired this valuable piece of property at absolutely no cost I am able to offer it to you at an extremely attractive price.

He's carried the water of the most power-hungry anti-democratic (with both a capital and a lower case D) forces in politics since at least the Nixon era. He's a disgrace to the principles of journalism. If the press corps were ever to institute branding for cravenness in the face of power, like they used to brand deserters in the US Cavalry, he's the first one I'd recommend, even before Tim Russert.
