1. I'm waffling about it . . .
reminds me of some of the art i've seen lately on 'Miami Ink' - but I do like your wall colour.

8. they better be glad i'm not grading it, because it's definitely an f
technically bad and aesthetically bad, i'm not a fan of having art on my walls for the sake of laughing at how much it sucks, sort of the "plan 9" school of irony i guess -- it's on the level of black velvet elvis only with less technical skill -- i know some people get a kick out of tacky but there is just too much good stuff out there to waste time w. crap if you ask me, sorry

considering the lack of the hind leg, it seems like it would only be sexy to someone into an amputee fetish, not my thing at all, it's just yuck

i hope you are teasing about this, you are, right? right?

i might give someone $$$ to take it away but honestly i would not encourage this student to go any further with their art, i guess teaching art, it's difficult, because they don't have to take the class at all, but this is not even remotely good or worthwhile, the "artist" would be better off watching marathon sessions of "pimp my chopper" or whatever inspired this "piece of work"

if there is any tasteful way to suggest that the angle is altered just a little, so that it might look as if the subject actually has all of her limbs, it would be nice for future works of art -- we are taught to look for stuff like this in photography, i sometimes think that in the other arts the teachers are not quick enough to criticize obvious poor choices, the artist needs to learn to walk around the subject in their mind to pick the angle

maybe a good argument to made for why anyone studying art should also be encouraged to take at least one basic photography course, to learn a little about framing and orientation

not any real tactful way to say that tho, glad i'm not the one (you?) handing out grades here

12. technically I think it is awful - I have trouble looking at it because of the perspective flaws.
but art is in the eye of the beholder...

14. That is truly bad
Not bad in a kitschy or ironic way. Just plain bad.

Whenever I critique designs , I always try to find something positive to include in my comments. In this case I can't do that without lying.

But hey, if it speaks to you, then congratulations on the purchase.

15. Count me in the 'ung' category. What's up with that green? With the pink?
I'm not a huge fan of being visually assaulted by art.
That, and I like my nudes classical. (or in goth, but that's neither here nor there).

Still, I'm a bit conservative when it comes to art I like. However, if it speaks to *you* then really, that's the most important thing about art, isn't it?
Glad you're happy with it.

23. omg! I see it now! That's even worse!
It's like somebody just painted in a leg at some angle, without thought as to how it might look like it's attached to her body in any way that humans actually constructed.

24. With that perspective and no horizon line, it looks like

... she is pulling the bike up to her crotch and sort of schlepping along through noxious green smog with her one good leg, and the big front wheel for balance. Actually, it looks like the bike might be the source of the green smog via it's tailpipe emissions.

Well, she looks rather serene about it all anyway. And you supported and encouraged a young artist, that's always a good thing in my book.

25. Perspective. Is the back end of the bike on a three ft tall embankment?
Is the girl's left foot on a mound of dirt?

The anatomical stuff on the girl isn't bad.

If you discount the impossibly attached leg and the missing arm.
