12% of Americans think Kucinich would make a good President
But 97% think Kucinich would make a good Keebler Elf.

(According to David Letterman)

1. I am a Kucinich supporter, but that is funny.
He does have an elfish quality.

3. Just think...one year from today...
We'll be celebrating the inauguration of the 44th President of the US, and it will be a Democrat. It might not be Dennis, but whoever it is, he or she will be a damn sight better than *.

5. That made me feel better.
I just get upset. DK is saying such important things, and the only mainstream media attention he can get is SNL and David Letterman jokes about his height and the size of his ears.

But it's true. We will NOT have 4 more years of shrub and there will be plenty to be happy about.

4. One time we saw Dennis on TV
at some campaign thing and DH turned to me and said, "who's running the cookie factory?"

Disclaimer: I'm sure Dennis is a lovely person who would make a wonderful president.

7. That's a mildly amusing joke,
but what bothers me the most is the trivialization of a good man. I'm not a particular fan of DK myself, but he cares passionately about this country and has put forth some new ideas about how to deal with things.

I keep on trying to encourage people NOT to look at the late night talk shows because of that very trivialization. Too many people out there really do get their information from Letterman, Leno, and all the others. That's not a better source than Fox, in my opinion.
