28. ooooh, you'd like them
Battered & fried fish (usually mahi mahi), chopped up and mixed with a cabbage/lettuce mixture and a creamy/spicy dressing, a little pico de gallo on top, rolled up in soft white corn flour tortillas.

You and sniffa should come out to LA for a visit, and I'll show you where you can get some.

9. LOL. You're always welcome.
And, they are really, really good. I got the inspiration from some ready made ones at Costco (but they were a tad pricey since BoyMidlo will easily eat three)

So I got the beef, two wedges of blue cheese and away we go.

I'm going to grill em up with some zucchini and we'll have raspberry sorbet for desert. :woohoo:

I'll check with Mr.Midlo to see if it is safe to mail. It doesn't have the gas tank, we put that on the freeper grill.

I've got some of their Gruyer-topped cutlets in the freezer...
I like put those on a bed of pasta and smother them with
a nice sherried cream sauce....or a spicy red sauce & mozzarella...

I guess it'll depend on what I have in the fridge
that needs to be used soonest!

38. french dip with fries-- or as my waitresses say "beef" or "American dip"
It drove me nuts the first couple of times they said that because I'd say French dip, and they'd correct me like it's ALWAYS been "American dip" or "Freedom dip" or something.

I still say french dip and I'm waiting for them to change back.

You mean you haven't explored creole and cajun dishes yet? Oh, man, do you have some fun ahead of you.

Etouffee is my favorite of all cajun dishes--have you ever had that? And can you get crawfish tails in Boston (you can also use shrimp or lobster, but crawfish is the best)?

I'll go dig up my etouffee recipe for you tonight and post down in the cooking forum.

49. It is like a stew... There are a lot of different recipes but I use
sausage, shrimp, green pepper, garlic, okra, onions, broth, white wine and rice with chili pepper, red pepper and a little bit of tarragon. You basically brown the sausage first, then add the veggies (we're not using okra tonight) and cook until veggies tender up then add the broth, seasonings and wine, lastly the wine, simmer 30 minutes and yummy! :loveya:
