Is Howard Dean still jetting down to Georgia tomorrow to meet with President Carter or has the recent slip in his Iowa support (at least in the polls) caused him to reschedule to work on his foundation? Anyone else think that it may be bad timing for Gov. Dean to leave Iowa right now?
Not that I think having the perceived support of Carter is bad, but it appears that some Iowa voters have an expectation that the candaidate will have a strong focus on the state, especially towards the end. He might tick someone off by the trip.
I was questioning if it is more important to be seen with Carter or try to save a first place finish. It seems that in a front loaded nomination process a momentum building win would be more important for the Gov.
