Waht's the deal with the ducks at the Peabody Hotel
in Memphis?

They march on a red carpet each day to their pond?

1. Longstanding tradition
I loved watching them get on the elevator to go to their rooftop pens in the evening.

:)

2. If these ducks are any way like the ones in my back yard
this red carpet would be a polka dot with greenish dots...

6. It's more fun to go to the bar and have a few drinks
then go watch the ducks, then go back to the bar!

My nephew's frat was having a reception in the Peabody bar (probably 100 of them all together) and everyone's favorite whack job Tom Cruise was there (during The Firm filming). He talked with a few of them and then left. After the reception was over the staff told the frat that Cruise paid their entire bill for them.

My brother ate lunch with him on a park bench in confederate park down there also. He said he was just stiing there eating his lunch and Cruise came up and asked if he could sit there. My brother said he was by himself and just seemed to show up out of nowhere.

Speaking of Memphis, I wil be down there in a few weeks...
