The pitcher was in her 70's.

Worse -

She had a wooden bat.

Worse -

We lost the game by a run.

2. I've been the final out in the final inning of a game
and had my big sis, the ace first-baseman say 'thanks for losing the game for us'. It sucks...

10. I think she's their secret weapon
some players on my team said they were afraid to hit a line drive up the middle.

But when i'm 70 I hope I'm still out there. I wonder what the bats will be made of then.

12. Worse —
How the Dodgers beat the Cubs on Sunday:

Bottom of the 11th, tied 1-1. Gonzo leads off. Walks. Kent walks.

Gonzo gets caught leaning off second. Barrett throws behind him. Gonzo scoots for third. Makes it.

Wild pitch and he scores. Game over.

These guys make millions.

19. When I was a pitcher in Little League, a kid hit the first pitch
I threw, out of the park for a home run.

Not only that, he came up again in the first inning and hit another one.

Not only that, he came up again in the third and hit another one!!!

Uhm...we lost the game.

PS: This kid hit three homeruns for the season -- all in the same game and all off of me!!

20. I give your coach a lot of credit
Some little league coaches probably would have had the pitcher throw at him.

21. I don't think it ever would have occured to our coaches to throw
at someone deliberately.

We lived on a small Navy base in the Aleutian Islands and everybody knew everybody. The kid that hit the homers off of me was a good friend of mine...there is no way I would have thrown at him.

I could see that happening these days -- with the "win at all costs" mentality.
