1. Our band is going into the studio for the first time.

We're all seasoned musicians, so it's not the first time for us as individuals, but it's our first time together as a band.

We plan on spending at least 8 hours on Saturday and hope to finish 4 songs.

Hopefully, we can resist the temptation of doing a lot of overdubs. That's the plan, to go in and lay it down quickly.

Sunday, of course, I will lounge around in my McNabb jersey and watch football.

2. It's Mrs. Venation's Birthday!

Tomorrow -- a big surprise for her, something she deserves and has needed for a very long time. Monday a continuation of the surprise.

In between, relaxation and whatever Mrs. V. wants to do.

I have an old friend coming to town tomorrow. So, I'll be cleaning the house (with 3 cats and 4 dogs the hair tumbleweeds are out of control) and planning dinner. We'll eat dinner and sit by the fire and catch up with what's been going on in our lives. I'm looking forward to seeing her. It's supposed to rain, sleet, and snow here this weekend so I don't know if I'll get out to take a walk. Might go see "Big Fish" (something like at) Sunday night.

4. Today is a Big Day

20 years ago today I met my best friend. So we went out to lunch and to get ice cream and shopping and now we're back at the house hanging out. That's the plan for tonight...hang out and maybe drink. :)

Tomorrow my parents are gonna be in town. My momma is taking me shopping for clothes. Woohoo. :)
