Our vet's office caught on fire last night.
I was watching the local morning news and saw the story, and told my husband that the building looked like our vet.

Checked on-line, and found that it was our vet. Our 14 year old cat was there last Thursday and Friday to have her spleen removed because of a mass, which turned out to be benign.

They had an adorable cat that lived there named Samantha. I fear the worst as I believe she only stayed on the main floor.

The staff, animals and their families are in my thoughts. Link:

1. Oh, that would be horrible if pets were trapped in there.

2. Same thing happened in my hometown several years ago.
Over a holiday weekend (lots of boardings), a wind-driven fire (accidental - electrical) consumed my hometown's vet office. There were about 50 pets lost, and it was really, really sad. They had a blessing for the animals and thousands of people showed up.

3. I read about that this morning in the AJC
Such horrible news. Can you imagine getting that call to let you know your furbaby died. How horrible! Those poor animals.

I have gone to this vet for 11 years, since moving to GA from CT.

6. How freaking tragic
I'm so glad that your cat was spared and home safe.

I feel heart sick for the pet owners that lost their animals, and of course the staff as well.

My brother lives in Marietta.
