I invented a game - Spin the Bible - Here's how it's played:
Actually I didn't invent it but I gave it a name. I listened to it being player on This American Life this morining, with an army chaplain explaining to a soldier how Jesus doesn't mind if you kill people.

So here's how it's played:

I give you a quote from the bible where it says you can or cannot do something, then you spin it to say the opposite.

Let's start with a basic one; Thou shall not kill

4. Are we playing the Catholic version, or the Evangelical Fundy version?
That is, are playing that a win allows us to have sex with a boy child, or to have sex with an adult male prostitute?

9. OK let's play spin the bible - I'll spin this one:
With a little help from google

"A more careful reading of these laws proves that the Biblical prohibition against adultery is not so simple. Whenever the Torah speaks of adultery, it refers to a married woman having a sexual encounter with a man not her husband. There is nothing in the Torah to forbid a married man from having a series of affairs with other women (as long as they are single), frequenting prostitutes, or even maintaining a mistress on the side. Abraham had a wife and a concubine, Jacob had two wives and two concubines. David and Solomon each had numerous wives.

see how easy it is?
