15. At my sister's house in Mass. it's the same thing.
If you go into her yard you're going to bring a tic inside. At least they aren't deer ticks.

17. You'd better get naked in front of a big mirror and inspect yourself
Edited on Sun Apr-29-07 04:07 PM by marzipanni
You don't want to find out one is biting only when the irritation/inflammation starts.
Lyme disease :scared:

30. My dog had one of these in his ear
and my dog walker took him into the local auto repair shop where the whole neighborhood operated on him with regular tools- I guess it was huge and full of blood. He seemed unaware of it but somebody saw it when he shook his head.

34. When I was a kid my grandparents retired on a farm in Arkansas
and at the end of the day grandpa would sit on the porch and pick all the wood ticks off "Rex" - who spent all day roaming forty acres. I swear the poor dog would have at least 10 that size every day and grandpa would pick them off with his bare hands. Part of the charm of living in the country.

in the country in Arkansas especially as that is where i live (not in the country so no ticks here thank goodness, other than what i bring home from the woods) but they are thick here no doubt as is poison ivy
