1. Isn't that a sign of the apocalype?
:hi:

Oh wait, no, that would be the Royals having a .500 record.

2. If the Pirates are at .500 at the all-star break, prepare for the rapture.

6. Didn't the Bucs go back to those recently.
If I recall, I remember seeing Randall Simon wearing one during the infamous Sausage Run incident.

7. Might have been a retro-day kinda thing.
Those unis were the most ill-conceived ever.

15. There was not a color photo of Stargell on the first page of Google images.
With both yellow jersey and stripey hat.

12. It's nearly unbelievable, isn't it?
WTF happened to the Astros? Weren't they in the World Series a couple of years ago, or nearly in the World Series?

Go Buccos! :woohoo:

14. I see X Nady's not back in the lineup yet
He's from around here, y'know. I did a story on him when he played high school ball (and hit .618 his senior year).

16. I'm glad for them...
...they're a great team with a great tradition...they deserve a winner there. By the way--anyone noticed just how hard picking their all-time team is? At short, of course you go with Wagner...but you have to leave Vaughan off!!! And who's in left--Kiner, Bonds, or Stargell? And who's in right--Roberto, or Waner? And how about Clarke? Or Giles? And Who's on First?...I don't know...(no--he's on second!)

17. Good question. Of course, for Catcher, there can be none other than
Manny Sanguillen, the Road Runner himself! He was my very favorite Pirate, especially after Roberto died.
