The Weather Radar Showed Big Storms Coming...

it was raining, one could hear thunder once in a while.

We called the number to find out if the soccer games were canceled. Nope, game on.

So we trek out to the fields, the game gets started (in the rain of course) flash of lightning after about 3 minutes of play and the ref blows the whistle and says "game off"

So, a good hour of getting ready, getting to the fields, getting wet, and all for nothing!

Sure we could have said, this is stupid and stayed home, but as the asst. coach, and my son on the team, I felt the need to be there.

Why can't the league "deciders" just watch the weather radar?

oh well, now I'm dry, fed, warm, and listening to the thunder crash, and the rain fall.

3. Hey, at least it wasn't a tournament, in which case they would have collected

non-refundable gate fees from all the parents and siblings even though the weather looked threatening. This is what they do for softball tournaments here, and it pisses me off to no end.

8. We're in a thunderstorm warning now

rain is horrible. Tornado warning in Ft. Worth area.

They even had to evacuate the DFW Aiport towers and all traffic is stopped.

Gotta love (or hate) those spring showers.

Ft Worth and Dallas are big places and a tornado could really do damage there with so many people together.
