Jehovah's Witness, On Mission From God, Eats Man's Thumb

A SLOVAKIAN worker who ate the thumb of a pensioner during a savage attack was yesterday held indefinitely under the Mental Health Act.

Jan Ometak, 28, broke into Doug Morgan's house at 4am and attacked him like "an animal", gnawing at his face, arms and chest.

The Jehovah's Witness, who is a paranoid schizophrenic, said he was on a "mission from God".

At Hereford crown court he admitted attacking the 75-year-old in Lyonshall, Herefordshire last July.

Ometak, of Hereford, who came to the UK in 2005, was cleared of attempted murder.

of all places just to make a living, I too would develop extreme mental illnesses and conduct savage attacks upon the pensioners whose way of life I must support with my taxes.
