2.) Occasionally...usually a burr pipe. It's a thinking exercise for me mostly.

3.) Not really. I'm label conscious, but I don't have a favorite. If a major fashion house (i.e. Burberry) went totally cruelty-free I'd buy all my clothes from them forever. C'mon Burberry...you know you want my measly $500/quarter I allot for clothing.

4.) Starbucks gift cards. Not so much for collection value but because people throw them away all the time and they actually accumulate collective value. I have an "Ichiro" card that's worth a pretty penny.

6.) I'll give you two opinions on children (Ready your flame-suit NOW!):

a.) Fine restaurants and movie theaters should set child-free curfews. It seems the best way to keep everybody happy. I don't mind going to the 10PM showing or 8PM dinner seating if I know that it means I can not be annoyed by other people's children. People with kids can be happy that if the people around them wanted to be unburdened of their children they'd come during child-free hours.

b.) Don't hit your children in public (don't hit them at all really), it says to the people around you that you lack control...if you'd hit your child in public, I don't want to know what you do to your kids when you don't think other people can see. Thus, hit your kid in public, expect that I'm calling the police and child protective services, I will give them a description or you and your child and I'll follow you to the parking lot to get your plate number so I can give them that too. I've had enough of the children-hitters lately, you're on notice. I WILL show up to testify against you and I will follow-up on the progress of the case against you.

Tobacco-free for a little over a month. Started smoking at age 13 (17 years ago). Went from Marlboro Reds to Winston Lights to Marlboro Lights to Marlboro Ultra Lights. Generally did about a half pack a day, unless I went out at night, in which I could drain a couple packs in a day.

I look good in Kenneth Cole, but it's kind of expensive. I really dig Cubavera's shirts -- I've got, like, five of them.

Seriously, I collect religious and cultural artifacts. My office is a shrine/altar with pieces representative of many traditions. Some examples are: Ganesha statuary, eagle feather, Japanese tea ceremony cup, Israeli wall hanging (blessing), Russian iconic Madonna egg. I'm always on the lookout for new cool pieces. I'd love to get a Tibetan singing bowl but I haven't found the right one yet. Most of my pieces have actually been gifts which gives them even greater meaning.

5. The Golden Gate, only because the the beauty of the surrounding bay, the fact that I've driven across it, and the liberality of its home city of San Francisco. I've never seen the Brooklyn Bridge in person, although I hope to someday.

Used to be a big buckethead, but really can't get into pro sports anymore. They get paid too much, they are idolized too much, and there are so many more important things to pay attention to.

Unfortunately yes, still having a hard time quitting. Marb Ultra Lights, about 10 a day

Not really; I buy everything but socks and undies at the thrift stores

I collect globes, yardsticks, non-working wind-up alarm clocks, wooden alphabet blocks, cobalt glass, rhinestone jewelry, and those metal thingies that used to go around the stovepipes into the walls...they are decorative scrolled pieces, round things...don't know what the hell you call 'em but I like 'em.

Probably cycling, but I haven't had a working bicycle in years. I should get it fixed this year. To watch: figure skating.

No. No one in my family smokes except two of my mother's sisters who live in the stone age. No one in my office smokes. None of my friends smoke. When I was young I involuntarily smoked, but then my mother quite and stores stopped letting people smoke indoors.

East Mountain Sports. Unfortunately, they closed their Cleveland store and now the closest one is in Pittsburgh.

I do, but I use everything I collect. I have a nice collection of premium telescope eyepieces that I use whenever the weather is clear, which is never. I also have a small, but nice collection of firearms.

Hard to say. I have never been to CA, so I have only seen Brooklyn. Golden Gate is a significant jump over Brooklyn in suspension bridge technology.
