A question about UPS..

The value of what was shipped is about $200. Do I need to sign for this? Will they just drop it at the door? They say it is out for delivery, but the delivery date is Thursday. Any idea about which is right? I need to get the package ASAP, it has my weed in it. Should I camp on my porch for the next two days?

1. I do not believe they'll just leave it. Did you try customer service? (NT)

2. They're going to try to deliver now.

If you're not home, they'll try to deliver three times before sending the package back.

If you're not home today, they'll leave a slip with a number you can use on the website to either 1) schedule a 3 hour block delivery time or 2) ask them to hold the package at a distribution center for you to pick up.

3. Do you know if leaving a note on the door for them would help?

If I ask them to leave it at the door with a note signed by me. Would they respect that?

4. It depends.

If you say write anything complicated or suspicious, they'd probably still do the normal routine.

If you leave a note asking them to deliver at a certain time or to hold the package, they probably would.

But it depends on the driver and the service.

They're allowed to drop it at the door, in the garage or at the back door if possible UNLESS the sender checked the 'must have signature' option.
