Everytime I look at the clock lately it is 4:44. or 11:11 or 3:33- WHAT the heck?
Anyone else experiencing anything strange like this?

I'm a big fan of Jung and I can't help but wonder if there is
not some collective conscious thing going on.

I've had so many strange things happen in the last month-
"things returning" I call it. Some sort of cycle.

I can't help but notice the sychronicity factor ratcheting
up along with the feeling of impending doom- Iran, etc...
If I were to draw it the illustration would look something
like two parallel sprirals moving in opposite directions,
one atop the other; with a decidely yin/yang effect.

Sorry to post such abstract thoughts at this hour, but
it just happened again, for about the 6th time today-
I glanced at the corner of my moniter just as it flipped to
11:11.

Thanks for you thoughts on these matters.

I remember him talking about the 11:11 thing. I never understood what he was getting at.

6. I've heard about the 11:11 thing too, but this is ALL numbers-
I wake up from a dead sleep and it is 4:44, or 3:33 when I glance at the clock.
I take my cell phone out of my pocket and check to see if I have missed any calls-
It says, 12:12, or 1:11 etc...I walk in the kitchen and the coffee pot says 2:22.
I get in my car and the clock says 5:55...I mean WHAT is going on?

I thought, "Oh, god, how much could a couple of groceries be?" and started worrying about whether I had enough money. Then she says it's $6.66.

I have to say, I laughed out loud and told her it was my favorite total.

Everytime I catch the number thing, it gives me some hope-
like maybe there is something good working in the universe
and it is trying to catch my attention because frankly,
I live in constant apprehension about what the global elite
are going to unleash on us next.

I don't profess to know anything much, but I do know there
has been a definite correlation.

There's an unknown force in the universe doing something we don't know about.

Actually, that's a joke. A scientist joke. Someone said it the other night to George Noury and he bit right on it.

No one ever accused George of being too bright, LOL.

Anyway, this phenom or something similar was discussed on the show. It was this show:

http://www.coasttocoastam.com/shows/2007/03/26.html

The guy talking about it was Dr. Peter Moscow and he did so in response to a question on open lines.

George Noory is full of shit.
As is Art Bell.

Now the Hopi, Kogis and other indigenous people interest me enormously...
Just thought of another 4 connection-
I sign all of my art (pottery) with thhe four directions symbol.
Do ya think there is a connection?
Let's call Coast to Coast and ask them- NOT.

I'm not too fond of either Art or George but they do get some interesting guests on their programs. Some of their guests are complete and total crackpots but others have interesting backgrounds and have disinguished themselves with their writing, research, etc. Unfortunately there is only one national sounding board for this type of material and that's their show, C2C.

But yeah, I wish we could have some different on-air personalities over there. That new guy, Ian Punnett, is pretty good.

When I scout thrift stores for 78s in the record bin, I sometimes
catch the eye of a fellow tribe member- we need not speak, it is
understood that we are on the same mission. Preserve what will
be lost with out our care. Sometimes there is a brief moment of
competition. Until, that is, they realize I am not after the 45's or 33s,
altough I do have some pretty cool 45s too.

Edited on Sat Mar-31-07 02:31 AM by BeHereNow
I can't tell you how much it has been happening to me on SO
many levels lately.
According to Jung, it would only be natural in the collective
consciousness aspect for the two of us to hook up here and now
on it.
Teilhard de Chardin would follow suit in
is "noosphere" theory.
Many believe the Internet reflects Chardin's projection/descriptions
of the "noosphere."

I may have mis spelled noosphere.
It's been a while since I read de Chardin-
He was the one who said,
"We are spiritual beings having a human experience..."

many, many years ago, and took a lot of comfort in his theories about the collective human consciousness. I've often thought recently that the Internet, although we couldn't even imagine it back in those days, has certainly validated his ideas.

One time I had a company fleet car and while I had that car, everything went wrong: the car itself, missing clothing from the trunk, not being able to find it in the parking lot, etc., etc. You don't want to know the whole story; what a nightmare.

When I turned in the car, they asked for the mileage. Went back out to get it and it was 131313.

I like multiples of the same numbers, while not being into numerology. The only one I do NOT like is 66 or 666 or 6666. I never get 13's. I write checks for donations/offerings when I get to doubles like XX22, XX33, XX44 and so on. Can't say why. It's just something that came to me. When I do, I sense good.

51. hits and misses
it's all about hits and misses. you remember the 'hits' and forget or don't notice the 'misses' Of course you're going to notice and remember 11:11 and so on, but how many times do you look at a clock and not even think twice aout it?

Hits and misses...it's how John Edward and his ilk (the 'medium' not John Edwards politician) does it to make people think he's talking to the dead.

That and once you start looking for something you can find it everywhere....because you're looking for it :)

Humans look for patterns in things, sometimes even when they're not there.

62. It may be partly that and partly the subconscious
I can often predict the time before looking at a digital clock because my brain is keeping track somehow anyway. Perhaps the subconscious can direct one to look at a clock when it knows a certain time will appear, either to satisfy a desire for interesting time patterns or to send a cryptic message to the conscious mind. Regardless, I agree that the hit-and-miss concept is a reasonable explanation.

52. There have actually been a couple of science fiction stories
Edited on Sat Mar-31-07 04:51 AM by EST
written featuring this interesting illusion, as well as an old Rod Serling Twilight Zone episode, I think.

Sadly, there's nothing more than "confirmation bias" going on, but it can be fun to play with. The sad part is that there are far too many otherwise intelligent people who will stumble onto something like this and throw sensibility to the winds.

Humans are not very good at thinking, in the way we commonly think we are thinking when we do it, but we are very good at pattern recognition, often seeing patterns where there are none.
Couple this with confirmation bias, where we give greater import, more attention, or more thought to perceptions that seem to confirm something that we want to believe or reinforce a pattern that we have perceived, and -whammo!- instant superstition.

On edit: I see it has just passed my down peak, 4:44 a.m., so I had better get the dishes done before the missus wakes up-typically at 5:55.

66. Consider these number to be like a bell, calling your attention.
What will you do with that attention? On what will you spend it?

Numbers like these have been appearing for me for a few years now. When I see this happen, I use it as an opportunity to give myself a few deep breaths, feel love in my heart for ___, recognize the oneness of our experience.

Do with them what you will. I think they're a blessing.

A synchronistic experience is a meaningful coincidence in which an outer event reinforces or mirrors your inner state.

The fact that you don't see any connection between the numbers and what is happening in your own mind seems to indicate that they are merely coincidences.

A real synchronistic experience can be knee-buckling.

Let me give you an example that happened to me.

I used to work in a large book store. One of the employee's duties involved helping customers when paged over the store PA.

I have a first name that is not unique but far from common. I've met only a handful of people with the same first name over the past 30 years.

After I had worked at this store about two months another person was hired with my first name.
To avoid confusion it was determined that the operator would use a different name when paging him over the store intercom.

One day I'm on the floor working when I hear a page for Charles. I didn't know of anybody who worked there by that name.
Then it dawned on me that that it was for the new employee. He had chosen 'Charles' instead of using his (and my) first name.

As I continued working, going into the back room to get an empty box off of the pile of about 50, I started musing on the role our names play in determining our individual identity.

Just how much of my personal identity was invested in my name? Would I be able to respond to a different name, as the new guy had to?

As these thoughts were going through my head I began to assemble the empty box to send a shipment out.

There, on the bottom of the cardboard box, in medium sized, preprinted black letters, was my name (first and last).

It was obviously the name of the person who was running the production line or inspecting the boxes that were made in the factory that particular day.
But, I had never seen my name on a box before. Nor, have I ever since.

There were about 50 broken-down empties in the back room.I just happened to pick the one with my name on it, and then saw it while I was thinking the whole time, 'what is in a name?'

That was the most powerful synchronistic experience I ever had.

day or night.

Not so much since I moved away in '99.

A good friend has mentioned 11:11 often.
