Favorite thrill ride? Coaster season is almost here!

First you take a high speed elevator to the top of the Stratosphere Tower on the north end of the Las Vegas strip.

Then strap yourself in and blast off at 50 mph before experiencing about 4 seconds of weightlessness as Sir Isaac Newton takes over, slowing you down as you near the top of the 160 foot mast before falling back to earth. Riders then bungee up and down the mast three times and practically float back to the launch pad one minute later.

I once rode it 47 times in one day. Simply and amazing ride.

2. You're not the only coaster/thrill-ride fan here.
I frequently do amusement parks and water parks during the summer. My local park is Dorney Park which, IMHO, has two good coasters, and a castrated woodie that used to be one of my favorites. The park's parent company also owns Cedarpoint, and I make at least two trips out there a year as well.

One of my favorite coasters is Mindbender down at Six Flags over Georgia - a wonderful (and nearly thirty year old) double-looping coaster.

3. I'm pretty much a west "coaster"
And I think I've ridden them all. I'm an air time junkie so while the big looping coasters are fun, I just like the big drops. Like Goliath at Six Flags magic Mountain. Nothing like a twenty-six story drop with nothing more than a lap bar holding you:

And my local park has two fairly new woodies and the original corkscrew from Knott's Berry Farm...

4. I'm looking forward to finally riding The Voyage this year
at Holiday World - plenty of airtime on this massive woodie.
