My cat snuck out of the house this morning and made me late

Because I had to crawl into the bushes to grab him so I could clean his feet. When I am about to leave the apartment, he sits right by the door. I try to block him but sometimes he gets out anyway. We had a lot of rain and the ground under the bushes where he likes to hide is all muddy. So I finally got in there and grabbed him. He was NOT happy. All I wanted to do was wipe most of the mud off his feet so he wouldn't track it all over the house. I got most of the mud all over me instead. What a brat.
